Got a question we missed? Send an email to our Pitch Competition Chair ([email protected]) - we'll be happy to chat!
- Primary Round: You will be asked to give a 2-minute elevator pitch of your business idea. You do not have to have a business plan or a full fledged business - just an idea! You will get real time feedback on the content of your idea and your presentation skill. From this round, 5-7 finalist will be chosen. This judging will be private - only our judges and other participants will see your pitch!
- Final Round: This live session will be held before our entire conference audience, right before our awards ceremony! Our mentors will help you craft a 5 minute pitch deck from your idea. Our top three will win cash scholarships!
FAQ:
- How do I sign up?
- To sign up, please purchase a ticket first. Then come back to this page and register using the form below.
- What if I don't have an idea?
- No rush, just give us a summary of what you're interested in. Hopefully you'll get inspired by a cool presentation or a networking session at our symposium!
- I've never participated in a pitch competition before - I don't know how to give a presentation! What should I do?
- No problem! We'll be hosting a breakout session on "How to Pitch to Investors" and a panel called "So You Want to Build a Startup" on Saturday, March 30. These will give you all the info you need to get started!
- Do I need to have a business?
- No! But if you do, that's okay. If you have a seed-stage start-up, we ask that you participate in our more advanced round of the competition. Our "idea-stage" round is aimed at attendees with little to no entrepreneurial experience who are interested in learning how to formulate and sell their idea to investors. If you're business is in later stages of the process, we ask that you don't participate and leave spots open for our novices!
